Whats Happening ?

Sunday March 28th

The IWA West Country branch held its AGM at St Austell in Cornwall on this day.

Adrian and Hilary attended and enjoyed the visit to the Shipwrecks Museum and walk around the harbour at Charlestown that followed.

Saturday March 27th

Adrian completes rebuilding the wharf wall up to coping level for as far as the present scaffolding is built. Before more walling can be worked on the scaffold platforms will need to be lengthened.

Wednesday March 24th

Trevor and Adrian join David Lovell and an employee of the NDCCS at the wheel pit site in order to dispose of the cut timber and brush that has been taken down. Tuesday March 23rd

Trevor and Adrian continue rebuilding the wharf wall and are making good progress despite having scratch around for ‘ugly’ stones for in-filling the inner and outer skins. Once again heavy rain stops play for the day.

Sunday March 21st

Alistair, Adrian and Barry continue preparing to hang the first gate. Unfortunately some of the wood is found to be rotten. It is cut out and replaced with new, held in place with the same very fast-setting adhesive Alistair had used to set the collar fixings in place.
