Whats Happening ?

Wednesday March 24th

Trevor and Adrian join David Lovell and an employee of the NDCCS at the wheel pit site in order to dispose of the cut timber and brush that has been taken down.  NDCCS hired a very large and powerful industrial chipper/shredding machine for clearing this area and another site further along the Tarka Trail.  At first they have trouble trying to get the chipper to start but eventually sort the problem and begin shredding the brush.  It is very hard work which is made more difficult by the weather turning bad and soaking all involved.

After an exhausting day’s work the site is looking considerably clearer but there is still much to do to make the form of the structure more obvious. It is hoped that in future NDCCS will give permission to burn on site cleared vegetation since this would be much quicker and easier.
